Colburn Conservatory professor and longtime friend Ronald Leonard returns for a nostalgic performance of Elgar’s serene Cello Concerto. Mr. Leonard, former principal cellist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, performed this work with AYS in Maestro Treger’s very first season as Music Director. In a bit of musical humor, Steven Stucky’s Ancora (meaning “encore”) will open the concert.
