A significant number of alumni have joined the finest orchestras in the nation. Others enjoy successful careers in recording studios or on the faculties of prestigious schools. Their success speaks to the impact of our training program. Work on tracking our alumni is in progress. Please keep us informed by sending us a message. We value your updates!

Maestro Treger’s catch phrase was always “flexible!” He wanted us to be able to be musical and spontaneous, and go with him in the moment, even if the concert turned out different than the rehearsal. I think this is part of what makes AYS sound so amazing… I use this flexibility to respond to colleagues around me, follow conductors, shape phrasing and expression and to work my way out of mistakes. Through all my years at AYS, this idea of constant adaptation to the moment became ingrained in me to the point that it is now second nature.” – Allison Allport, alumna
